Therapy And Counseling Methods:

Unlock Your Full Potential!

You’ve already taken the most powerful—and sometimes hardest—step: reaching out for help. What could be more important than the quality of your life? I’m here to support you. My approach is results-oriented, designed to help you overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Through CBT, I’ll teach you how your thoughts and feelings influence your behaviors—and how those behaviors, in turn, affect how you feel. CBT is considered the gold standard for many issues, and it gives you clear, practical strategies to use in everyday life.

Action-Oriented Therapy

I believe you shouldn’t have to spend 20 years in therapy before real change happens. My action-oriented approach gives you tools to use between sessions, so you’ll know exactly what to do when you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

EMDR Therapy

As a certified EMDR therapist, I use bilateral brain stimulation (eye movements, auditory tones, or tactile stimulation) to help you resolve trauma and other obstacles. EMDR is one of the most researched and effective newer therapies. While it doesn’t work for everyone, it works for most—and if it’s not the right fit for you, I’m trained in many other methods, so we’ll find the one that does.

Evidence-Based Practices

I rely on therapies backed by research—focusing on what works, what doesn’t, and how to help you move forward as effectively as possible. These practices also emphasize relapse prevention, so the progress you make is sustainable.

Interpersonal Neurobiology

I integrate brain science into therapy, translating complex research into easy-to-understand insights. You’ll learn how your brain works and how to apply that knowledge to understand yourself more deeply and make meaningful change.

Supportive Therapy

Sometimes, what you need most is to be heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. Supportive therapy gives you space for compassion, insight, and tools to manage difficult emotions when certain aspects of life simply can’t be changed.

Music Therapy

Music engages the brain in ways language alone cannot. I sometimes use music as a therapeutic tool because it can open new pathways to insight, awareness, and healing. Have you ever heard a song that expresses what you’re feeling more deeply than you’re able to explain?

Art Therapy

Although art therapy isn’t always my first method, there are times when it works in ways nothing else can. Because art stimulates many different parts of the brain at once, it can unlock insights and breakthroughs that may not be accessible otherwise.

Happiness Training

Eliminating negative feelings is important, but so is learning to feel joy, fulfillment, and contentment. I’ll help you build the skills to not just “get by” but to truly feel happy.

Systems Therapy and Internal Family Systems

We don’t exist in isolation—we are deeply connected to the systems around us: family, friends, colleagues, culture, and community. Systems therapy helps you understand yourself within these relationships, and how those dynamics shape your emotional well-being. We also have different “parts” of ourselves, and sometimes those parts compete to be in control. If you feel pulled in different directions, these approaches can help bring clarity.
